          Dear Fred,

When arrived of my last trip I found a parcel sent to me, by SEDEX. When I opened it I had an unexpected and pleasant surprise: your book “Damselflies of Brazil ". Little times in the life “I devoured” a book with so much interest. Congratulations to you.  The book is excellent.  All excellent, cover, text, illustrations, everything.  It is extremely useful for the specialists for the volume of information that contains, especially, for the possibility to find in one book an enormous number of illustrations dispersed in dozens of scientific papers. I still find more important and useful for the ones that want to begin their studies on Zygoptera. They have great difficulty for the nonexistent of keys for genera and species, lack of bibliography or even for the difficulty to understand the morphology, especially the wing venation. You can be right that your book will stimulate the appearance of new specialists and it represents a great contribution to the Odonatology.  In fact, as far as I know no other book was never published in South America , in fact, none book was published. On the other hand, it is good to you know that with the publication of this book you created a problem for you.  Everybody now will want the 2nd volume of Coenagrionidae as fast as possible.

Once again, my congratulations, thank you very much for the book and a great hug,

          Angelo
